From the Sewee Center, take Hwy 17 North approx. 23 miles north (9 mi north of McClellanville) then turn left on Rutledge Road/Rd S-10-857. Proceed for approx. 2.5 mi to the entrance (Rd S-10-2204) of the SC Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. Large sign at the entrance

Right out of Sewee Center onto Hwy 17 North for approx. 1.7 mi. Right onto Doar Road. Right onto Sewee Road – it comes up fast about 1/8 mile. Drive approx. 3 miles on Sewee Road. Left onto Bulls Island Road – keep driving until you enter entrance gate. Once you enter the landing, take your first left. Enter where USFWS sign states “do not enter”. Drive up gravel road and park in front of forest edge (white weather station and oyster shells on right).
For bird banding: Walk short distance down grass road to the banding station.
For Bull Island Exploration: Walk down to Garris Boat Landing and Pier. Meet by 7 am for check-in. Boat Departs at 7:30 am

Drive 14.8 mi to Hwy 45. Turn left onto 45 and drive 4 mi to Mill Branch Road (FS 211). Turn right onto gravel road and continue for 3 mi to Still Landing Road (FS 211-B). Drive to end of road, approx. ¼ mi to Boat Ramp

Left onto State Road 10-1032/Steed Creek Road for about 5 mi
Right onto Half Creek Road for 5.8 mi
Park on left or right side of Halfway Creek Rd (under utility lines). Walk will be on the right
